Drool! A very interesting gallery, Paul. In the end I suppose it all came
down to a bit of dust. Very little noise at 6400 - Larry is quite about
right, but judging from my K7 I would say more like 400.

Sheesh, too easy. You got it immediately. A few others were close, some very
imaginative.
It's actually the inner stainless steel drum from an old Hoover front
loading washing machine. The stand is the drive pulley mounted in reverse. A
perfect braai (barbecue) for two. Works very well -

The local pusher had their annual dog and pony show today, so I got to
play with a couple of the new lenses for the K1.
This one was shot with the 15-30. Not much to say about it, other than
that it's a brick wall.
The lens is nicely balanced to the camera, and seems very, very sharp.
Very nice! Technically and aesthetically.

Another pixel shifted K1 pictures. This is a single exposure. Well,
technically it's 4 exposures.
I mounted a Fuji 90mm f/5.6 enlarging lens on the front of the Bellows K

Hello,
I would like to offer $380 Canadian (shipped) for your 15mm LTD.
My U.S. zip code is 68810.
Also, I would need you to issue me a Paypal Invoice to pay from (which
would allow me to put it on a credit card, as my Paypal funds are low at
the moment).
Will pay once the invoice is received

On some cameras, lens corrections are embedded in the raw files and
automatically applied by raw converters that honor the lens correction
metadata. Not all raw converters allow you to disable the lens corrections. Nor
should you, because such cameras and lenses are designed to be used with

I think you have it right. I don't know if I turned those corrections off, but
I figure since I shoot RAW it doesn't matter. I think noise reduction affects
RAW but not sure. I leave it on "auto." I think the Pentax engineers are
smarter than me.
