The four new pics show Severne’s center, which has beautiful old buildings and
some interesting shops and restaurants.
The half-timbered, ornate affair is the Taverne Katz, built in the early 1600s
as the home of the town’s tax collector. To the right is the town hall.

That's much better. I still think the lower right part of the image is
more interesting, and sadly it doesn't matter that much to me that the
elephant is looking in the wrong direction for my crop, because well, I
was looking at it as an abstract.
While the elephant is obviously an elephant,
Alan, I like this a lot. The elephant stands out from the background, yet the
photo makes clear that the giant animal is a very small part of a much larger
(threatened) ecosystem. The textures and colors are interesting and work very
well.
Great shot!

A few thoughts from the Boffin Igor :-)
1. Gmail behaves as follows: any outgoing messages is saved under the
"Sent" tag (tags are similar to folders in other mail programs and online
services, but in case of Gmail, one message can belong to more than one
Tag).
Even if you Cc: to yourself,
bingo :-)

Ah, the PDML is getting into it's stride again! (Are you listening, Dan?).
I actually saw the whole image as a kind of abstract but I suppose there
are different ways of looking at it.
I'll try it your way, PJ

Mostly that big boy doesn't look so big. He kind of gets lost in the
landscape, and the trees.
I know you intended to show his environment, and it's good to show him
in his environment, but the upper third of the frame doesn't really

Agree that the scene is somewhat
sharper with noticeably less glare.
Still like this scene with the Tusker
