First, there are apps that are positioned as a "scanner" (or scanner
replacement). I've tried one of those ("CamScan", or something like that,
maybe CamScanner). I suspect their settings expect most of the background

Actually there is ... there's an authorized Pentax dealer about half a mile from
my house. It's where I got (and get) most of my Pentax kit.
They did have some problems getting stock around about the time Hoya bought
Pentax (had to order the K10D from B), but since Ricoh took over I've been
the "Yes" was meant to answer the bridge question , but the sky -was-
marvelous :-)

I was thinking more along the lines of whether any lenses or camera
bodies were on your wishlist, but just slightly beyond your budget. For
