Some may find this of interest.
Half an hour video I did with British sailing journalist Tom Cunliffe about HMS
Medusa, an 80' ex-Royal Navy harbour defence vessel that played a key role in
the D-Day landings. Now restored, this is a look around and chat with the
ship's commander about the
Nice gallery. I really like the first image; quite well imagined and
accomplished.
Some of the displays are a bit over the top for my taste.

Third attribution today... I think you have the right answer -- The
price adds up to what friend 1 paid for it
This particular trio of bears appears to have been photographed at ANWR - the
Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska.

Doesn't take a whole lot of wishful thinking to turn a $400 print into $4,000
print. There's actually "zero" difference between the two when you think about it.
It's possible Kennan Ward & Tom Leeson could have photographed the same trio of
bears at the same time, but now I want to know why

The woman who owened the photo originally, I have to say, could easily
have been taken for more money than she should ahve - but also
my still living friend may be misremembering the price.

Thanks. I'm not big on Dickens either. The fair is meant to represent

My thought as well, Bob. A very popular place for North American
photographers is the town Churchill in Canada, situated on the Hudson
Bay where polar bears gather to wait for the bay to freeze over so they
can go hunt seals.
We went to Dickens Fair last weekend. If you've never been, it's like a
ren faire but Victorian rather than Elizabethan England. For that
matter, even if you have been, that's what it's like. It happens every
year at the Cow Palace (Daly City, just South of San Francisco). Apart

That's interesting. It looks to me as though the Kennan and Leeson photos are
separate pictures of the same scene, taken at the same time with the
photographers next to each other, for example on the same expedition/photo
tour. Look at the tuft of grass in each one in relation to the bears - it

I've searched & searched for Kenan Ward prints & don't see that image among

Well, imo shedding possessions is a good thing! It's not a type of photography
that appeals to me, at least in the sense of wanting to own copies. I have some
stuff that I inherited that is of no interest to me, but is well thought of by
some people and has some financial value, so i understand

Looks great. I have a 26" LG 4k. And yes you probably need a new video
card. I got the cheapest Nvidia which has enough power to drive 4k.
Internal (Intel) GPU are not good enough. The cheaper Nvidia cards are
without a noisy cooling fan.
