Somewhere in Massachusetts (I think western), driving through in 1967 we happened upon an old cemetery overgrown with weeds.  One of the headstones was for two brothers - one who died at age 12 and another at 21 a couple years later.  The epitaph on the stone read "Few and evil were their days"
