).
It seems as a mechanical problem. Any solutions?

I counted today for the first time in a long time.
18 working Pentax slrs (spare-part cameras not counted) from Pentax SV to
Pentax Program A. Sick, isn't it..
I'm feeling rather safe now if one or two would stop working :-)

ht it. It will cost
you about US$100 to fix the shutter in Sweden. A much nicer body is the KX.
I have 2 of those, and would recomend it if you can find one for a decent
price (about US$100).

these lenses vary that
much, or are there other things that affect the judgement.
This lens is claimed to be rare. Is it really that difficult to find?

Yes, probably. I already have one of those, but also with a black bottom
plate. They are easy to recognize :-) . A probably ugly chrome MX with new
black top and bottom plates. It works perfectly, and I have only payed 40
USD for it, after selling some lenses that came with it.

Hi
I bought a Super-Takumar 85/1.9 some time ago for about 70 USD in very good
condition, including caps and hood. It was a private seller, not an auction
or a shop.

Hi
David and Frank, thanks for your information about the SP500. I am looking
for a Spotmatic in good shape. Maybe I will find a SP500 which seems to be
as good as any other Spotmatic model.

Hi,
the Spotmatic 500 was a budget Spotmatic with 1/500 as fastest shutter speed
and without self-timer.
Are there any other drawbacks like lower mechanical quality or anything else,
compared to other Spotmatic models?

Hi all,
I have found a Pentax ESII (black) + Takumar 55/1:2
(I don't know which Takumar-version yet) for about 90 USD. The owner says it is
fully functional and in very good condition with very little brassing and no
scratches. If the camera is that good, I think that the price is very

Hi,
The noise is not from the strap lugs, it's from the inside of the
camera-body.
