My lab is using Fuji Frontier exclusively because they aren't willing to
expend resources maintaining their optical equipment. The Frontier is new
and they get better contract support right now. I would guess that using the
Frontier makes their life easier also??? For the most part I like the print
Be patient and look for an SMC F 28-80 f 3.5/4.5 zoom. Built like a tank and
good optically. Only negative is rotating front element.

I have the Tamron 70-300 LD Macro (62mm filter size). It has great bokeh. It
goes 1:2 macro from 180mm to 300mm. Sells for less than $200.00 new at B&H
and Adorama if they still stock. You may find it used at KEH.
It is a light lens which does not suffer from bad zoom creep.

Frank,
What a wonderful picture. I know you will treasure the memories it evokes
forever. That Agfa film rocks doesn't it?

Anybody got a box and packaging, etc. for an MZ-S that they want to part
with???
Thanks,
Robert
I've read somewhere(can't find it) that the fps rate improves to about 4 on
an MZ-S equipped with BG10 grip and lithium batteries. Can anybody confirm
this with own experience
TIA,
Robert (Woerner Bros.)

I expect Adorama to treat you well. A friend of mine got a used Pentax 50mm
F macro from them when she was supposed to get an FA. They made it right.
Sent her a beautiful used FA. I just got a demo MZ-S from them. No problems
so far. They are a class act. I would expect few problems from them.

Hello friends,
I have a friend shopping for a film scanner. He has narrrowed his search to
two offerings from Minolta:
DiMage Scan Dual III
DiMage Scan Elite 5400
Any firsthand use/opinions from list members???
I have read photographyreview.com.
The 5400 gets a 4.8 with 5 ratings.
Thanks,
Rob
I was quoted 1333 USD for a new PZ1p a couple or three years ago and bought
one brand new from B&H for 479 USD. Huge difference in money mileage.

The Pentax SMC F 28-80 f3.5-4.5 is a good lens in my opinion. Probably the
best AF 28-80 out there though no longer manufactured.
I tend to agree with the rest of your statements.

Robert

Check this out. Nice photo, nice model, nice lens.
A Pentax lens on a Minolta Maxxum 7. What a combo.

The latest offering from Tamron 28-200 zoom with 62mm filter thread has
gotten good reviews. (designated "XR Super" ??)

Welcome back.
It is still a scam and the guy should be shut down. It is like someone
selling a camera box.
Regards,
Robert
The only problem I have had is vignetting at 28mm especially with a
polarizer or generic lens hood. Like you, I agree it is a superb optic.
With regard,
Robert Woerner
As a side item, if you wanted fast AF you should have tried out a PZ1p. You
would never have gone over to the other side. Boy, what a can o' worms I've
opened.
PENTAX ROCKS.

Considering the fact that I paid $300.00 US for mine I think $188 is a good
deal for a great lens.
