I tried it with the 77mm Limited and the results were good, more than
usable. However, not as good as without the TC (as expected). Actually
it made for a nice, but slow compact telephoto. I ended up getting an
FA 135/2.8 so I don't have much need for that TC-lens combo anymore.

I tested the DA70 on the Pentax-A Rear Converter 2x-S. The results
were not particularly great, a good deal of chromatic aberration and
red-fringing developed. I don't know how different the design of the
1.7x converter is.
