There was such a compatibility issue with certain SDHC cards,
Transcend IIRC but it was resolved by

A friend in my nature photography group had an interesting problem
recently. One of his SDHC cards went bad; couldn't read the card,
couldn't recover the images.
Then he found out the card was eating card READERS. Any card reader used

Unless it's different than any other filter I have seen, the filter is
basically a sandwidge of a gel type substance that is the actual filter,
with two peices of glass protecting it. I don't think it will come apart
easy, and even if it comes apart you'll likely never get it back together
right
...take a polarizer apart? Me neither.
