seems to be very problem prone. It really dissapoints me as I want to get
one eventually. I am not real happy with the Sigma that I have.

BTW, a lot of people have problems with flash photography in general.
Ninety nine point nine percent of the time it's user error.

I have both the Sigma Super and t he 540. The 540 is WAY better. I've
had no problems with it whatsoever.

What I understood is that people have problems with P-TTL, not with
the flash themselves.

Yes! Zoom was inoperable (auto and manual) when the flash was received.
I talked to a Pentax tech who put a 540 on a K10D and we tried a couple
things, but without success. He said it appears that the zoom mechanism
is stuck and it should be returned to the supplier.
That is where it is now to be
I have two and they both work perfectly well. What
specific issues have heard?
I would be nice if the wireless function worked at
longer distances but other than that I have no
complaints with this flash.
