I'm thinking of moving from my Nikons to the K10D for my equine work.
I might buy a second K10D body as a back up, but i really want to see
what i get with a lens like the 60-250 or Tamron 70-200, but they look
like later in the year releases, and the shows will most likely be
almost over, so i que
I bought mine at the end of November when prices hit rock bottom.

For me it was the faster write speed, closely followed by SR.

The shake reduction is the thing that puts the K10D way head of the
*istD, or in my case *istDS. I'm not happy to admit it, but my
pictures got much sharper thanks to that feature. More megapixels is
nice too...

With the rebate in the US that ended yesterday, they were very cheap.
If I didn't already have a K10D, I would have bought one.
I thought about getting a back-up body, but didn't.
I still like how the DS does ttl flash and will hold it as a back-up.
