I have an excellent condition Super Program, an almost mint Black ME
Super, and some sort of third-party ring flash set-up in the original
case. Plus I have an ME-F with the original Pentax 35-70/2.8 clunky AF
lens for the ME-F - all will probably end up on Ebay soon. Let me

Black ME Super - No brassing. The only fault is that the hotshoe does not work.

I see them on eBay too, usually there is one for sale among about 50 chrome
ME Supers. I think it's cousin, the black ME, is a lot less common.
Interesting that during that time that the MV (the most basic model) and
the LX were both black cameras, while all the ones in between were chrome.

had five ME Supers, and a couple had the characteristic you observed
on yours. I've found that the soft release, designed for the leica,
fits the ME S perfectly, and allows for much easier shutter
operation if you're e
I see them on ebay at times. I bought a black ME Super for parts, the
description had no picture and didn't mention it was black, so I really
lucked out. Shutter was stuck, gave it a boost with my finger, and off she
goes. Works good. Only problem with it, the shutter release button has
g on the top or bottom
plates I'd pass on it.

I don't know how rare they are, but I had one for a while before
selling it to another list member. I recall that, when I bought my
first ME S (which was new) there were numerous black models on
display along with the silver.

Hi Gary ..
I've been thinking about your offer, but have also been involved
with other purchases and sales which would effect my decision. I'd
planned to get back to you last night but, instead, fell asleep .
I'd take $175.00 and would throw in either a strap or a filter as a
small incentive, a

Oh Shel! How could you do this? You're selling one of your babies! Black ME
Supers don't grow on trees any more, you know.
If you sell it you'll feel sad...
