Has anybody seen anything about he new Minolta 4800 ppi film scanners? There are supposed two of them a 35mm version, and a medium format version. I though I saw them in the new B&H Catalog, but I just checked and they are not in there, so I don't know where I saw them, or if they are just vaporwa

If you really want to keep to a budget [and have a scsi connection], also consider the nikon ls-1000 negative scanner. it was the pre- ls-2000 model. they are pretty cheap on ebay now. i've had one for almost 2 years. it's 2700 dpi. it's fairly fast [about 1 minute for a 2700 dpi scan of
