LOL. I know the image I had in my mind but not a commonly accepted
term. I made this one up, and it's pretty self-explanatory.

No, a neck strap won't keep a camera on a table, but I find when I'm using a
neck strap, I rarely put a camera down. No need to in most situations. Then,
when I am forced to park it somewhere, It's a very conscious decision. But I
was being a bit facetious. I know a lot of photographers can't

It's difficult do astrophototography with the camera's strap around the
neck.
Reference to my initial post re: when the camera dropped, I was attempting
astrophotography and I had just removed the camera from the back of the SMCK

I know. I was just speaking in general terms in regard to the merits of body
armor vs. strap. Hope your hip feels better soon.

I think it's a pretty nifty idea, especially for people who are or want to be
rough with their equipment. If I had money and a local place to buy
A camera clad like the illustration would draw a lot of comments. Don't
know if I would want to draw attention when I'm out shooting. I know I
get attention when I use a Stereo Realist because most photographers have
never seen one before.
