Hi All, Having just received the DA 14mm a few days ago, I compared it to the other two wide-angles I have been using on the *istD.
Not really tested the sharpness and distortition issues yet. (DA 14 has slight pin-cussion distortition it seems) I did look at the FOV however, and was surprised to see the difference between the A15mm f/3.5 and the DA 14. The FOV of the 15mm was much closer to the 16-45 at the wide end than it was to the 14mm. So I assume the 15 really is 15.5 or so ... Anyway the 14mm is a great lens to work with, I used it with the 360FGZ flash (with a STOFEN diffusor) on a birthday party yesterday. It is just 2/3 the weight of the 15mm and the fron-lens is nearly flat as opposed to the huge bulb on the 15mm :-) It also takes 77mm filters at the front, which will be nice for landscapes. Build quality is quite nice too, it makes for a good extension of the limited series at the wide end :-) Regards, JvW ------------------------------------------------------------------ Jan van Wijk; http://www.dfsee.com/gallery
