I tried it with the 77mm Limited and the results were good, more than
usable. However, not as good as without the TC (as expected). Actually
it made for a nice, but slow compact telephoto. I ended up getting an
FA 135/2.8 so I don't have much need for that TC-lens combo anymore.

On Mon,
Dear All,
Has anyone tried the following combination? What were your results.

I tested the DA70 on the Pentax-A Rear Converter 2x-S. The results
were not particularly great, a good deal of chromatic aberration and
red-fringing developed. I don't know how different the design of the
1.7x converter is.

Well the DA 40mm ltd is essentially the same formula as the M 40mm, and
the same caveat that Boris give about the DA applies. The DA 70 has no
aperture ring, (Ok, I'll say it for you/ Well Duh!), and it has limited
usefulness on most Pentax Film bodies, at least the ones I'm interested

Hi all:
I would like to know if someone has tried to use the DA 70 mm. 2.4 on a
film SLR, and in that case, whether it covers the 35 mm. film frame or
not, and if there is severe vignetting.

I don't think so. In one of the review we can read:
The Nikon can AF, too, but can not give the supreme bokeh of the STF

You've been complaining about the K10D, and it hasn't even been released

I believe ring bokeh happens due to the laws of optics (physics)
