I have discovered that the backside display on my K20D doesn´t zoom, using the
thumb wheel, if the battery grip is mounted and set to on. When turned off
(at the release button) the zoom function works again. A bit weard, isnt' it?

That means the wheel on your battery grip isn't on a click stop. It's happened
to me.
