Hi! I'm aware that the rechargeable batteries in digital cameras eventually wear out. How about the memory? Spec'd at so many reformats, or not? Lon, my impression is that the mechanics of shutter release would wear out way before built-in memory starts to exhibit problems. As to external memo

Hi! Not exactly true. USB 2.0 interfaces are downwards compatible. So if you connect *istD to USB2.0 enabled PC it will work without any problems. Personally I wouldn't bother with this. I would for sure buy external reader - much more convenient to use than connecting cable to camera every tim
