Strikes me as a modern day equivalent of a Pentax 110.

The article is probably fake, but the camera is a Zenit KM, or
at least almost identical to that.

That's what I thought when I first saw it, apparently Zenit copied the
Pentax 110 look for a modern 35mm model.
