the 1:1 adapter, but performance down to 1:2 was superb, even wide

kept the Series 1. It's truly superb. Because focusing manually is a
prerequisite when shooting macro, I consider this lens the ultimate macro tool
for the money.

Came home from a visit with my Dad in an Omaha hospital yesterday with
a bit of extra cargo. A lens I never thought I'd get the chance to
own: Vivitar Series 1 90mm f2.5 Macro (otherwise known as the Bokina).
Got it in a K-mount (along with the matching 1:1 converter) and also a
genuine Pentax M42
