Thanks, Ann. Yes, they are. This Roller is endemic. In summer they are outnumbered by the migratory European Rollers which look very similar but without the Lilac. Some people call them Blue Jays. I suppose Spring is in the air over there? At last it's starting to cool down a bit in the Lowveld -
