Rick. I could get it to fire off camera, setting the K10D to wireless
and in the menu, set the wireless to master(#1 )Controller did
nothing.

Dave,
I thought you could see no effect in the image. I'm
getting a P-TTL preflash, but no exposure flash. I
ultimately tested by having the flash in the frame.
It's not flashing during the exposure.

Correct, i cannot tell the difference from the off camera exposure to
just the pop up exposure, but its definitely setting the flash off.

Ok, so i did a short test last night.
Sigma in TTL P and the setting at CI and SL with a +1.0 ev.
Camera, K10D flash mode on wireless, +1.0 ev and the pop up on number
1, set as master.
It definetly trips the flash off camera, but the pre flash does
interfer. I got around that by focusing, let
Dave,
IIRC, setting the pop-up to controller in the set-up
menu on the K10D causes the pop-up to emit just enough
of a feeble little blink to trigger the slave, while
master means the pop-up is contributing to the
illumination.
Can anyone confirm that?
Rick

That's my understanding

It would not work in controller mode at all.

Although it did in Master mode.
I had the 500DG set in several posiotions. First to my left, about 18
away. Then left about 4' away.
Next almost in front of me, maybe 2' off centre right, and about 7-8'
infront. Next was about 15' away, just off centre right, but at 90
degrees to me. Last to my

On-camera it works fine, but the wireless does not
work =at all=. There is a preflash but no main flash.
I've emailed Smegma...ummm, Sigma. I'll let you know
what they say.

Hi Troops
The fellow in class that had the K10D last night, has the newer Sigma

work properly.Major under exposures.
So am i.
Is this now a dead issue with the DG super, and K10D in that wireless is kaput.

I gave up on the Sigma. Too many problems. And it quit working completely when
I tried it on the K10D. I guess I should send it in, although it's probably off
warranty. I bought the Pentax 540. Works great. And I've now added the external
battery pack. It's a good unit.

Paul, is this on, and off camera?Wireless modes to.
Is the 360 the only model that does not offer swivel positions. The
500 and 540 do, correct.

Sigma updated my EF500 free, even though it was long out of warranty.
I bought the Pentax 540.
My Sigma doesn't work at all any more. I think something popped when I tried to
use it on the K10D. It had already been upgraded for the K 100D, so I figured
it would be okay. I don't know how the 540 Pentax differs from the 360, other
than it has more range. The 500 won't work on the K10D.
I'm going to send the Sigma in for an upgrade. However, I think something is
broken. It won't flash at all.

Humm.
I checked on Pentax Canada and Henrys cameras, and i cannot see
anything that indicates the 360 does or does not swivel. It says it
does bounce, but i like the 180 swivel feature my Nikon SB 80DX has,
including the 90 degree bounce.
Can those who have the 360 and or 540 confirm which one
The 360 does not swivel, just flip up 90*. That is why I want the 540 as
well. It has a rebate going right now, but I don't know if that is Canada
also.

The AF360FGZ unit only has simple vertical movement for bounce.
The AF540FGZ unit has both swivel and vertical movements.
Check them out on the BH website: a much more succinct and
informative delineation of features and specifications than on the
Pentax site.
I would not buy a flash of this
