I do not recommend to mess with the finder either. Better to remove the
little left side body cover instead.

If the middle part of the mirror is in focus, that means the mirror is out
of alignment and could be fixed by professional only. And to recalibrate the
mirror (not just the screws under the mirror), the whole LX has to be
stripped down (told by Pentax HK two years ago). I believe this is not an
