Thanks Charles, sounds like a good idea.
By putting 1000 pixels in both length & width boxes,
I seem to get the desired 1000 pixel max dimensions.

Bob, I suggest you take your time and study the export dialog in
detail. This is where you can do almost anything with the photos
before they are exported. I use mine with some plug ins to add frames,
resize for given print size, etc.

in the export dialog box, there should be a clickable item - "image
sizing" - here you can specify size limits and file resolution

What am I missing? My exports come out as full sized jpegs, but
I need a max of 1,000 pixels for Photo.Net, so I open Photoshop
Elements and resize.
How can I get this as a 1 step process in Lightroom?
