I'm considering buying a Berlebach 7003 wood tripod as my lightweigth tripod (I
already have a Manfrotto 055Nat and a Gitzo 505). For this tripod I need a suitable
pan/tilt head. Choices are the Manfrotto 460MG Junior Magnesium or the 329 Pro
Compact. The magnesium head is of course the best suited when low weight is an issue,
but I wonder how steady it is. Can it take 35mm (MZ-S) with lenses up to 200mm? Also,
will it work with the 645n with up to 120mm?
The 329 is certainly stable enough but weights three times as much as the magnesium
head. With a weight of 1.2kg it might be too much of a 1.8kg tripod - too top heavy.

Any experience with the Berlebach and these heads? I want the lightest possible weight
but still maintain a stable platform.
