Mattias Klum has been a Pentax photographer since the age of 17 when he
knocked on the door to Pentax Scandinavia HQ in Uppsala and asked for
help. Pentax lend him expensive telephotos and in return he was an
official representative for Pentax Scandinavia at trade shows, messes
etc.

Pentax Scandinavia has used many famous Klum photograhps in their
adverts. All his shots for the Borneo project was done with Pentax 35mm
(LX and Z-1p) and medium format equipment.

Recently, he changed to Nikon, and he has appeared in many Nikon adverts

in swedish magazines. To me it seemsl like Nikon simply made a better
offer to him than Pentax
Scandinavia could, and this was the reason for the change.

If Mattias wife uses his remaining Pentax 35mm outfit but with 645
lenses, this could be because the telephoto lenses was borrowed from
Pentax Scand. and that they no longer are able to borrow the lenses any
more - due to the deal with Nikon.

Best regards,
