Flashes are a pain...
I had two AF360FGZ's and earlier this year one refused to take a charge
and the battery door on the other broke. Replaced them with a Metz 68 2
and a AF360FGZ as a backup. The Metz broke after 4 months and has been
at CRIS awaiting parts for a warranty repair for two mont

That's odd, because if I try to press my button JUST until I can
swivel, then it is also able to tilt.
My flash has the ability to tilt just a bit BELOW level (in addition
to swiveling up). Maybe try pressing DOWN on the tilt and seeing if
that frees anything up.

I pulled my metz 58 af-2 out of the bag a short while ago and the
release for the head swivel has broken. It points forward, and I can get
it to go a bit up, but the tilt/swivel seems to be busted. The release
button seems to be stuck part way in.
