Here are two books that might be of interest for Pentax users:

Andy Rouse "Life in the wild" has the form of diary in the year of wildlife shooter. 
Andy is a great photgrapher and is a witty, often hilarious, writer. He constantly 
whine about the useless meter of his Canon EOS-1v but praises the foolproof meter of 
the 65NII which he recently bought.

Another book is Mark Lucocks "Photography for the naturalist". It is shot mainly with 
Pentax 35mm equipment and is quite equipment specific. Not a must but could be worth 
looking into.
