Evidence now suggests to me that if a FF is coming at all, it probably
won't be announced until Photokina in Sept.
However, a online retailer in China's New Pentax models lists:

K-3s
K-01 II

Presumably, if there is a K-3s, there is also a K-3. Listed as a 24MP

It may be worth noting that the Sony A99, a 24.3MP full frame, was
announced on Sept. 12th. Rumors then said that this would be the
sensor that Pentax would be developing a full frame
PS... the full frame would be the same sensor as the Sony A99 (but not
limited by the pellicle mirror)
and the APS-C would be the same sensor as the NEX-7.

Pentax almost has to announce a full frame. They will be the
laughingstock of the photography world if they let on that they are
maybe developing full frame and only announce a k-3 APS-C for April
fools after the debacle last year. Honestly, I think what they did at

Right now 36MP makes full frame more interesting IMO. That's a

This is true, and I agree. APS-C is still useful though I think. With
longer glass, the crop factor comes in pretty handy.
