I really wish they'd decide on a naming convention and stick to it.
When I was trying out Ricoh Image sync tonight, one of the cameras it
lists as working with is the K-70. So, I'm guessing that it will have

The K-70 will be the first non flagship with a fill 14-bit readout. I
don't think there is an imaging sensor capable of a full 16-bits. The
medium format cameras advertise 16-bit color, but in reality its a bit
less than that and much closer to the 14-bit the 645Z is using.
Also the K100D already
If the relationship between the K-70 and the K-3[II] is like that
between the K-5[II[s]], then apart from the top LCD second SD card slot,
and a few buttons, the K-70 will have a few "improvements" in movie mode
over the K-3, improved more modern looking menus, (more like the K-1,
I'd expect),
Maybe they do have a naming convention, but it's in Japanese & it's the
English translations that seem to be all over the place?

I would really like to have the articulating lcd and the built in
wireless. Not sure what I would be losing on the K3II. Would get a
flash in place of the GPS. Not sure I need either. There is a side by
side comparison on dpreview.

I'm quite glad to see this. I'm saving toward a new body, wanted K-S2
was wondering if I could only afford K-S1 or maybe K-50. This both
provides another alternative and may drive down prices on other
models.

K-10, K-30, K-50, K-70... it is only a matter of time until the odometer
rolls over and we see another K-100 (not to be confused with the K100D).

If Pentax stuck to a naming convention now we'd have nothing at all to
complain about.
