My fairly new Epson R1800 is producing a VERY dark initial print.
Second print, etc. are fine.
Same whether calling for color or B&W.
Anyone(?)

Never had that problem with my 1800. It's pretty new, less than 6 mos, and I
haven't printed a lot on it, but it worked great from the very first print.

Got a panel that ICM(no color management) is unavailable. I believe
that was the wording.
I allowed color control and all OK. I think the program disallowed ICM
after first print, thus permitting a more accurate color thereafter.
Vista? Also, ink level check is grayed o

Me too. Vista has, also, disabled the ink monitor and printer
nozzle check. When I think I can sustain some control, I'll try a
Windows contact.
