FWIW, although it was a download that set me off, I was comparing
business models rather than specific downloads.

I am also annoyed by the recent trend of a bunch of different programs
trying to sneak in McAffee AV.
However, to be fair, while I am not using many Apple products, what I've
used so far was not completely "soft and cuddly".

When I update Adobe, they don't try to slip in a new browser or try to
hijack my anti-virus program. Adobe updates may be a PITA, but so far,
they're an honest PITA.
