Your story makes this interesting, but I don't think it works as a photograph.
It might work better if you were tighter on the plywood golfer and let the
background go somewhat out of focus. But it's a difficult situation with all
the business of the scene.

Maybe in late afternoon or early morning light and a lower angle so that the
golfer is depicted against the sky..
But the fence probably limits the possibilities.

It is such a hodge podge and didn't concern myself with that white
thing lower left. I, also, thought the debris at the bottom suited the
scene.
Certainly could be easily cropped out with a nip on the right to
balance it a little.
