After that advice I submitted two images and this particular one was accepted.

The lens was a Sigma 10-20mm (earlier version) at 20mm.
In fact, I had the DA 40mm with me and was shooting with it a few minutes ago.
When I saw this little fellow running happily, I had to shoot instantly.

I have used a nylon bag to protect he camera and tried to keep it
covered most of the time.
However, the weather was "a lot" better than I feared and that has also helped.
