The best news shots I saw caught the plane and the Washington Monument.
The shot from the ground was a bit better than the one from the chase plane.
That's a historic moment to catch.

Actually, I think that's a fine shot of what I normally consider an
unintersting subject - machines in flight. The clouds, the angle, the
companion plane and the piggybacking that if someone looked at it
without knowing what ws going on would find quite startling.
