Thanks. I'm thinking I should crop out the right side. Or look for
another frame. I shot some tighter.

It has some kind of painting quality in it, especially the left hand side.

I"m not so crazy about this one, Paul...
I was trying to think why and I guess it comes down to their being no
star attraction - that is, my eyes are drawn in
all directions at once kinda too busy for me...

Thanks Marnie. Actually, being encased in ice will protect the ivy from wind
burn and subzero temperatures. It stays right at 32 degrees. When there's a
severe frost, farmers sometimes spray water on their crops. Having them ice
over is better than exposing them to the elements..

Nice one, Paul. Weird and interesting shot -- unusual.
Poor ivy. :-(

In truth, the ice is good for it. Keeps the cold dry wind off of it.

Thanks Dave. Yeah, I don't mind winter, but I've had enough. Bring on
the spring!

No. You didn't have too much to drink. Well, maybe you did:-)) But
you're right, they do look like elephant's trunks. It was very cold,
but the sun was brilliant, and it melted some of the snow on the
roof. As soon as it fell onto the ivy in the garden, it froze again.
Thus the ice scupture
Now that's cool. :-)
Interesting that some of the shapes look like ice sculptures of elephant's
trunks (or did I have too much red wine last night?)
