Last week, I had the opportunity to shoot newborn twins. As a
photographer, as a mother of 3, I thought I was up to the challenge...

My visions for smooshy faces, peaceful swaddled bundles, teeny bare
bottoms... were no match for fussy 2 week olds with tummy trouble
(reflux, milk allergies)
There is a lot of personality in that image.

It's been a while since I had newborns around here... they are so
scrawny! I think once these little guys get their issues sorted out,
they will be packing it away like champs!

A young woman I know photographs babies a lot. She said a small
space heater is one of the important pieces of equipment. Both to
keep the little babies warm and, as you said, to keep them sleepy. gs

Yes, the white noise helps, as well...
My hat is off to photographers that can wrangle newborn twins, and keep their
cool. I learned a few lessons the other day, hopefully I'll have another shot
at it someday...
