It reminds me more of one of HCB's pictures, also shot from above. Of
course, HCB was probably well aware of Rodchenko's style. On the other hand,
he didn't much approve of photos taken from strange angles and viewpoints,
as Rodchenko often did. Rodchenko was opposed
But one of the most acclaimed shot in the PDML manual was shot ala
Rodchenko, the view looking down at the plaza with the mother and
stroller, and the child running down the steps (my sis has the book,
so can't research the photographer). That was a good image in my
opinion.
