Vancouver promotes itself as the "City of Glass." It leaves me rather cold, and
a lot of lovely architecture has been bulldozed since I first visited Vancouver
about 25 years ago. Apparently it was the huge influx of money from Hong Kong
before its transfer from Britain to China that started
Only if the yachts are replaced by junks will the transformation will be
complete. As you say, rather cold.
