I really like the bigger copy. The light is marvelous and the distant
tree, fence, and grass are all highlighted by it. I think you hobble
yourself by sticking with the small jpegs. I couldn't see any of the
fine detail in the smaller photos.

Yes, the contrast of a stormy distant sky and local sunlight often makes
for attractive landscapes.
I like both of these - perhaps the tree slightly more (although it's a
pity about the telegraph pole - not much you could have done about that,
I suppose)
