I must admit that since I started doing PAWs I haven't done a single

Hi!
Since the intial post is well-known, I am going to skip (most of) it.
I remember when I joined the list about 2 years ago... The discussion
of photography as such as I recall it was close to nil. Eventually I
started submitting to PUG and some time, perhaps a year ago there was

Hello Boris,
It isn't my intention to modify PUG or PAW (I like PESO better), just
a comment on the seeming lack of value/interest in the PUG -
especially since we started doing PAW.
I wasn't thinking anything about a competition of sorts, just perhaps
a way to make the PUG be of more interest
I agree with you regarding competition. Usually, I skip any
competition without a beer closely related to it :-)
One reason that hasnĀ“t been mentioned is that few of us, if any, are
able to produce a really good photograph each week or month. The
reason why I show pictures is to get better,
I like the PUG the way it is/was - a theme per month (no need for the added
open gallery part, though). I am looking forward every time a month is
ending to see the new gallery.
PAW is for a moment, and than gone. I sometimes go back to elder
PUG-galleries to look for pictures made with special
I've had real problems submitting things to PUG. I assume I keep
getting the old submission page and my file is just to going off to some
computer in the Homeland Security Office.

I think there are a couple of things going on. First is the problems that we
have had with komkon these past few months. Second is that it is summer for most
of the list. Strangely enough folks tend to be out taking photos (and doing
other interesting things) in the summer instead of sitting

What about some form of php driven feedback system on the PUG itself
whereby PDMLers could comment directly on an image a la photosig.com?
Perhaps by interacting more with the PUG site there would be more
traffic and interaction with its content. With the PAWs because an
