Yep! A lovely garden spider who survived a battle. I wonder, was it
another garden spider or a bird? Nice detail on the abdomen.
I'm arachnophobic, and spider photos are like train wrecks to me; I
must look at them. What's worse is that I keep finding such specimens
to photograph. I jump too much

I have a big, honkin' one of those ladies on one of my windows as I type
this, but I can't get a decent shot of her topside without destroying
her web. I guess I could take a shot of her underside the way you did,
though.
