While making a brief visit to pentax' Japan site
I noticed there was a "museum" section. So I went in.
There was a picture of what appeared to be a LF Pentax!
Anyone know anything about it?

While looking around Pentax Japan to see if there were any pictures of
the MZ-6, I came across an interesting PDF. It's the 35mm lens range
catalogue, and I wonder why one of the regional sales companies hasn't
translated it into English -- I think it would be very useful:

Top of the page is a box that seems to indicate:

Also that news release seems to be different as it shows and labels BOTH
black and chrome (yippee) versions! I wouldn't be suprised thought to find
out if the chrome is only available in Japan. So anyone know what it takes

Yep, you're right. Today I noticed at a downtown camera
store that PENTAX will start shipping MZ-S on 26th May.
(They had a flyer.) The price is JPY135,000 for both black
and silver versions.
For friends in Japan, Pentax is going to show the MZ-S at
their service centres from 21st
The 26. is release date in Japan. Its expected here in Europe in mid June.
As I understand it chrome versions will be available world-wide but only black will be
available to start with.

I think it's limited quantity release (sold as a package) within Japan only.
It costs 330,000 yen, which is about US$2,450.
