Have visited Colorado's Maroon Bells about half a dozen times. Never did get the perfect sky or mist over Maroon Lake. Located about a thousand feet above the town of Aspen, the lake itself is about 9,600 ft and Maroon Peak (don't know which one) slightly over 14,000 ft. Always many photogs.
