You got a good shot of it - even with that camera. The bokeh in this
case is not too exciting. I have seen some lenses look a little odd
with some backgrounds and then look just fine with others. I don't
know if that is the case with this particular lens or not.

Err, better ones.:-)
Thanks Brian.
I think it was at F2.8 or 3.5, not much more than that. I focused on
the peanut and shot when he grabed it.

Whatever the camera, an excellent shot. You seemed to have nailed the focal
point well giving a nicely blurred background and foreground.

Sat out in the backyard Sunday after the horse show, and the Jays and
Squirrels were fighting over peanuts.
Grabed the only camera in the truck with a lens attached and managed
to get a dozen or so.
The above is one of the n
I missed this earlier and I love blue jays...
I like his "you talking to me?? " or "what are you doing there?"

Nice shot.
The expression on the bird reminds me of the scene in Jurassic Park 3,
where camera follows the fight down the river and then the focus
changes to the Pterodactyl in the foreground as it turns around and
sees the main character.

Thanks Paul.
I actually brought the bird in a bit in PS so its actually farther
than one would think, about 25' away.
I should have had the K10D and it might have been a bit clearer.
