I'd recommend the Ricoh GR-1. Excellent 28mm f/2.8 lens, program and
aperture priority modes, exposure compensation, and decent metal build in
a very compact body.

I don't know the Yashica, but the Espio Mini is small as the Olympus "
*Î *" , and i's Pentax.
It's quite a bit smaller than the standard Leica, perhaps closer to the CL
in size. The lens is quite good. It's a fine little camera, but one may
need a large shirt pocket for it. It fits in some of my shirts and
certainly in most all of my jacket pockets.

The Ricoh - definitely. It's _the_ slimmest 35mm film camera ever. And
it's made mostly of magnesium. I have no long track record with it,

Hi Peter,
Olympus Mju 2 (stylus epic) is pretty good as cheap P&S go. For more

I have one in each car.
In mine is an Olympus XA2. Cheap. $10 or less. 2 A76 batts.
In the wife's is a particular Canon p&s. I don't remember the model, but no
zoom, has ir remote, and even (of all things to put on a p&s) a waist-level
finder! Decently sharp pics.

Whoever it was wanting a lightweight
carry-around, I picked up an Olympus
XA2/A11 combo today. The camera is
nice, but the flash is imperfect.
Fresh batteries included. $45 +
shipping to where-ever.
