Few weeks ago I spent the brand new price of the FA* on this lens which was
in brand new condition (without warranty). Consider I wanted the tripod
collar badly, it's still a fair deal to me.

Paid about $650 for mint condition SMC F* 300/4.5 with unused matched Pentax
lens case in January 2000. Excellent lens & built solid.
