I use the DA 50-200, and it's earned me quite a few dollars. It may not

As if I really needed a reason to not get the DA50-200mm.
I've never done an actual test but the FA28-200mm is more than
adequate on a *ist-D, (it doesn't always show since I often take
shots in marginal conditions).
