The K-mount-lens to screw-mount-camera adapter adds considerable space
between the lens and the camera, almost like a teleconverter. It
contains at least one optical element, which allows it to maintain
infinity focus.

I see. You loose optical quality, like with the Nikon adapter. I
I have an unusual M42 camera, the Ricoh TLS401. It has a dial on the right
of the pentaprism that allows the user to switch from eye level to waist
level viewing.

If one locates K bayonet mount to screw adapter B&H price $44.95
then K mount lenses can be used on this gear which i am thinking to
add but expensive too.
Gill
I don't think this is possible as the K mount prones (about 45 or
46mm in diameter) cannot be made to fit inside the 42mm diameter

The Spotmatic F will give you open aperture meeting with Super Multi Coated
or SMC Takumar lenses. That's a big plus o
etween the SpotF and the earlier Spotties, and the F
and , for example, the K1000, KM, KX with standard screens?

The Spotmatic F will give you open aperture meeting with Super Multi Coated
or SMC Takumar lenses. That's a big plus over a Spotmatic. It's tough as
nails and said to be almost identical to a K1000, save for the mount. The
only minus is that the meter
