Steven,

It's a pretty nice digital camera. I have the
HP 912, which is the same thing.
The camera is a joint effort betwen HP and Pentax.
It falls into the consumer catagory of cameras (IMHO)
like the low end Pentax SLR's. Has many of the same features.
The zoom is a little slow, but gets the job done.

The digital output is nice and clean, give nice high res
jpg's of tiff output.

The major drawbacks are very limited accessories and options.
If you like lots of gadgets this is not for you.

Doesn't compeate with the other major brand bodies.
It's starting to shows it's age with the 2.2 MP sensor,
but I still get some nice 8x10's out of it.

Better than some digital P&S's, but below a true digital SLR.

Mark

Subject: EI-2000 digital camera

Greetings,

I noticed on the pentax European site that they have a digital ZLR
camera called the EI-2000. Interestingly, it has that pentax look to
it, but only has a 2.2 MP sensor. Does anyone know anything about
this?
